I Dream of Multimedia!
Multimedia is What?
I went to bed last night thinking of how multimedia can be done. It was incredible to think it can be done in almost any way and is only limited by your imagination. The more thought you put into it the more results you get out of it. This period of sleep I had was a very unrestful one as I was trying to think exactly what ways multimedia can be done. Some of the ways I thought were of course audio, video, images, interactivity etc, but I also thought of some things like feel and touch as a form of multimedia to present a certain topic. This idea sounds way off topic, but if it was used in the right way it would be very good for an interactive form of multimedia. ** Then a thought occurred! ** If Multimedia is so versatile, why doesn’t everyone in the University learn it! Multi media can be used in all forms and in all fields. It can be used to teach kids in primary school, it can be used to show the body structure and/or damage for radiography. It can be used of course in television production, but could also be used in drama to set the scene even better. Multimedia is a very versatile medium and can be used in oodles of ways. If we didn’t have multimedia things would be very boring. Multimedia is able to bring things to life and grab our attention. A place that could use multimedia to grab people’s attention would be on a shop front. A fancy shop sign is good, but if a shop had a fancy plasma screen with a good interactive multimedia presentation, could mean that the shop’s gross intake could sky rocket! This is just another thing that multimedia can be used in. Multimedia is a very versatile medium. It is only limited by the imagination of the user, and has many different possibilities of how it can be presented. Multimedia is definitely the way of the future and is almost becoming a necessity for informative presentations or stylish design. Wednesday, March 01, 2006 |
