DJing
Djing is a lot of fun. I do it quite often as a business. At the moment I am only going back to Canberra once a fortnight to do my gigs, however in the holidays (when I’m back home anyway) I will be booked up fully. It is very good pay and a lot of good fun. The only real risks involved are:
I do many schools in Canberra now, these include Canberra Grammar School (boys and girls), Narrabundah College, Canberra College, Farrer Primary School and St Clares. I do corporate companies such as the Tuggeranong Hyperdome Shopping Centre, Southern Cross Club and Large Outdoor gigs. I also do many clubs, bars and pubs in Canberra. I am not only limited to djing, I run and own a full hire company, stocking professional audio equipment, staging equipment, lighting, sound, smoke machines, strobes etc. I do event management and organizing and am able to cater for just about any event including many small to medium large outdoor concerts. Out of all my years of doing this style of work I love it a lot and grow to love it more every day. I deal with many people and enjoy the role of satisfying crowds to up to 1500 people. I have been doing discos in a paid sense for 8 years, but have been tinkering around with this style of thing for 12 years. I am only 18 years of age but am able to put on a good show.
