What is Multimedia?
Multimedia is… Multimedia is.. Multi-media! Multimedia is a way of manipulating and bringing out the creative side of things in a technological way by combining different sources of media. Textual reference and Hyperlinks are said to be the basis of any multimedia as it creates the foundations for strong developments in this field.
Alas!
Multimedia is as straight forward or as detailed as the user would like!!
…Multimedia can simply be the use of text accompanied by integrated images to help support the argument or idea to be presented. Multimedia can also be the amalgamation of sound, motion, audio, video, visual, interaction, design, entertainment & information and much more.
Multimedia is the bringing of life to contextual information.
Images are the simplest and best example of multimedia. Hyperlinks are also a good example of multi media. They link one’s work to another’s. This is a marvellous interaction of multimedia as all of a sudden we are shown and given a lot more information to interpret. And we are able to be better informed to make our decisions.
Multimedia is rather hard to define as it is rather broad and would take years to summarize. In that respect it can be rather opinionated so it looks like I need some multimedia here to help make you the reader better informed!
Multimedia is not mind numbingly boring, it is exciting and interactive and the way the future is leading. It is a digital art form! Multimedia is what you want it to be and is what you should be using when trying to promote and idea.
Now amazingly enough, that took an hour to write!! I hope it helps clarify some of the aspects of multimedia; however I will go into detail further on down the track on some of the specifics.
